The purchase of a gated community is subject to a fixed monthly fee for all the expenses of the community's common spaces. In other words, even if you were to buy your home, in order not to worry about renting, you should take this fee into account.


Privacy.

As already mentioned, if you're looking for a more restricted and private life, a gated community may not be the best solution, given the proximity of the houses and the fact that the common spaces can sometimes be occupied by more residents.
