The Municipality of Figueira da Foz is promoting two sessions of literature and performing arts on March 20 and 25, in acts to promote and encourage writing, reading, and illustration.
On March 20, at 9:30 p.m., the reading room of the Pedro Fernandes Tomás Municipal Public Library will host this month's edition of “Quintas de Leitura” (Reading Thursdays), which will feature editor and writer Diogo Vaz Pinto as a guest for a “conversation about literature, writing, and the power of words.” This meeting will be moderated by Professor Teresa Carvalho.
On March 25, also at 9:30 p.m., at the Madalena Biscaia Perdigão Auditorium, “Terças com Poesia” (Tuesdays with Poetry) will present the show “No Tempo em que os Animais Falavam” (In the Time When Animals Spoke), a multidisciplinary crossover that combines poetry, music, and illustration in an immersive and sensory show, with free admission, subject to room capacity and rated M/16.
With artistic direction and poem selection by Isaque Ferreira, this show also features musical performances by Ianina Khmelik (violin, vocals), Marco Figueiredo (musical direction, keyboards, vocals), and Rodrigo Brito (cello, vocals), as well as illustrations by Constança, which enrich the visual and emotional experience of the show.
