The Figueira da Foz City Council is finalizing a plan aimed at the elderly population to deliver essential goods to their homes.

Deliveries will be made by employees who are usually assigned to support schools in the municipality and provide school transportation for children.

The goal is to reduce the risk of contracting the new coronavirus among those who are part of risk groups.

A telephone helpline for the elderly will also be set up.
