In view of the weather forecasts for the next few days, which point to a significant increase in the danger of rural fires, the government has decided to extend the Alert Situation Declaration for the whole of mainland Portugal.

The Alert Situation will now cover the period from 00:00 on Friday, August 8, until 23:59 on Wednesday, August 13.
