The Rua dos Pescadores redevelopment project aims to upgrade this road, making it suitable for both cars and pedestrians. Pedestrians will be given priority over vehicles, although the latter will not be prohibited, in line with both the decarbonization strategy and the popular nature of a street that is much loved by residents and visitors alike.
Awarded for around €130,000 (+ VAT), the deadlines are being met and it is expected that the project will be completed by mid-February, according to the Figueira da Foz local authority.
