The Quiaios International Kite Festival returns on May 3rd and 4th to the sandy beach of Praia de Quiaios. Under the motto “Colors in the Air, Magic in the Eye”, this fourth edition of the event is an invitation to fun for all the family.
The sky will be filled with giant kites from Thailand, Colombia, Croatia, France, Spain and Portugal, as well as synchronized flying shows, with two- and four-line acrobatic kites from teams from Portugal, Spain and France.
The little ones have free access to inflatables, face painting, balloon modeling, kite-building workshops and a demonstration of the construction of traditional Lourosa kites. There will also be plenty of surprises and traveling entertainment.
On Saturday night, the giant kites will light up and promise to transform the sky over Quiaios Beach into a colorful, fluttering canvas.
The Quiaios International Kite Festival is an initiative of the Quiaios Parish Council, produced by the Cabeças no Ar...Te Association, which aims to boost the local economy and position Praia de Quiaios as a family destination.
